How to enable/disable cookies in your browser

What is cookie?

Cookies are usually small text files, given ID tags that are stored on your computer's browser directory or program data sub-folders. Cookies are created when you use your browser to visit a website that uses cookies to keep track of your movements within the site, help you resume where you left off, remember your registered login, theme selection, preferences, and other customisation functions.The website stores a corresponding file(with same ID tag)to the one they set in your browser and in this file they can track and keep information on your movements within the site and any information you may have voluntarily given while visiting the website, such as email address.

How to enable cookies?

To use your Google Account on a browser (like Chrome or Safari), you need to turn on cookies if you haven't already.

In the Chrome Mobile

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app .

  2. At the top right, tap More Settings.

  3. Tap Site settings Cookies.

  4. Turn Cookies on

In Chrome pc

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More Settings.

  3. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.

  4. Click Cookies.

  5. From here, you can turn on cookies: Next to "Blocked," turn on the switch.

In the Safari app

  1. Follow the instructions to turn cookies on.

  2. Wait 5 minutes and open the Safari app.

In Brave Browser

  1. Click on the Brave Shields (you will see it near the address URL ).

  2. Click on Advanced Controls and choose to Allow all cookies.

  3. Now the page will reload automatically to adapt to the new changes.


How to disable cookies?

In the Chrome Mobile

In Chrome pc

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More. Settings.

  5. From here, you can: Turn on cookies: Next to "Blocked," turn on the switch. Turn off cookies: Turn off Allow sites to save and read cookie data.

In the Safari app

Follow the instructions to turn cookies off.

In Brave Browser

  1. Click on the Brave Shields (you will see it near the address URL).

  2. Click on Advanced Controls and choose to Block all cookies/ Block Cross-Site Cookies.

  3. Now the page will reload automatically to adapt to the new changes.
